Cookie policy
The site uses technical tools that it needs in order to work and stay secure. Google Analytics cookies are turned on only if you accept them in the notice, and you can change your mind at any time.
1. Cookies and local storage
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in the visitor's browser. Similar tools, such as localStorage, keep information on the device in a different way, and the law treats them alike.
Under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003) and the Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante) of 10 June 2021, technical tools that a website needs in order to work require only this notice. Everything else, including third-party statistics cookies such as those of Google Analytics, requires consent, which must be asked for before they are turned on.
2. What this website uses
Technical tools: always on, no consent needed
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| mc-consent (localStorage) | The Website | Remembering your cookie choice, so the notice does not reappear on every page. | 6 months |
| __cf_bm | Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the Website | Telling people apart from automated bots. It is set only when bot protection is active. | 30 minutes of inactivity |
| cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Remembering that you have passed a security check, so it is not shown again on every page. It is set only if you have been shown a check. | 30 minutes (Cloudflare's default setting) |
Statistics: only with your consent
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) | Telling browsers apart with a random identifier, to count visitors. | 2 years |
| _ga_FFYBQE90PG | Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) | Keeping track of the state of the visit session. | 2 years |
Google Analytics is set up without Google Signals and without advertising features, and it does not log the IP address of traffic from the European Union. What data it collects, for how long and with which safeguards is explained in the privacy policy.
3. How to give, refuse or withdraw consent
- On your first visit a notice appears at the bottom of the screen with two buttons of equal weight, "Accept" and "Reject". Nothing is pre-selected.
- Closing the notice with the X counts as "Reject". Scrolling the page or carrying on browsing does not count as consent.
- Until you choose "Accept", Google Analytics is not loaded.
- Your choice is saved in your browser for 6 months, after which the notice appears again. It appears sooner only if the tools used by the Website change.
- You can change your mind at any time through "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, the Website stops Google Analytics and deletes its cookies.
- If JavaScript is switched off, the notice does not appear and nothing beyond the technical tools is turned on.
4. What it does not use
- Profiling or advertising cookies: none. The Website does not use Meta Pixel or any other marketing tool, and Google Analytics is not linked to Google Ads.
- Embedded third-party content: none. The Website embeds no videos, maps, social media buttons or fonts from external services.
- Newsletter sign-up: it is not active yet and the button appears nowhere. When it is, it will lead to a sign-up page hosted by Systeme.io, on a Systeme.io domain: the Website will load none of its scripts, and on that page the Systeme.io privacy policy and cookies will apply.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
You can also view, block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking Cloudflare's cookies may mean you see security checks more often; clearing the site's storage makes the notice appear again. Instructions:
6. Data controller and contact
The data controller is Matteo Campagna. For questions about cookies and personal data, write to [email protected]. Everything else, including your rights and how to complain to the Garante, is in the privacy policy.
