Claim page revised, version 2

The claim rests on a single study from half a century ago, which describes more than it measures. In 1976 a Japanese group used photographs, electromyography and X-rays to compare four university archers with more than three years of practice and six young men who had never held a bow: in the beginners the bow shoulder rises, the trunk and neck lean back, the bow is held away from the body and the neck bends forward to aim as if with a rifle. The authors link some of the faults by reasoning, with the bow held away from the body forcing the neck to bend in order to aim and the arm giving way to the bow's pressure letting the scapula rise, but the paper gives no figures and follows nobody over time: the chain is proposed, not measured. In 2021 a comparison between fifteen Polish national team archers and fifteen complete beginners finds that the untrained shoulder stays flexed throughout the movement and produces about twice the adduction moment, but with no statistical test and in a journal with questionable editorial standards. That a beginner's faults travel together is reported; that they spread from one part of the body to the others nobody has measured.
