Claim page revised, version 2

What exists is the opinion of top archers, not measurement. In 2020, in a study that interviewed eight members of the South Korean Olympic team about their relationship with the coach, one of them says that imposing the same shooting style and the same equipment tuning on everyone does not help an archer improve, and that this is exactly why they still turn to their former university coach for their equipment; the authors conclude that advice and settings that ignore the athlete's own characteristics have a negative effect. Another athlete, shorter than the others and strong in the arms, recounts being affected a lot by the wind because of their height, and how the coach looked for the string tension suited to that strength and had a longer arrow tried, with a period of adjustment at the start. Before that there was only a side clue: in 1990, in eight competitive archers, the draw weight of the personal bow bore no relation to arm strength, and beneath the average the weakest archer did worse with the heavier bow and the strongest did better. Nobody has ever compared archers with a set-up chosen on their own measurements against archers moved to a standard set-up, and the opinions of a single team, with a very recognisable shooting school, say what some top archers think, not what happens on the target: the question has not yet been studied.
