Claim page revised, version 2

There is a single data point, from 2025, and it measures what the athletes say. Twelve Indonesian wheelchair student-athletes who practise archery filled in a fifteen-item questionnaire and were interviewed: on scales from 4 to 16 they gave 13.92 to quality of life, 13.83 to social integration and 13.83 to a sense of meaning in their lives, and on quality of life nobody went below 12. The same twelve also reported barriers to taking part, 7.33 on a scale from 3 to 12, and none of them sat at the low end. The most useful result in the study is the comparison with twelve athletes each from wheelchair tennis, athletics and fencing, because the perceived benefit does not change across the four sports (p = 0.425). What can be said, then, is that wheelchair archers report benefits as high as athletes in other sports, not that archery offers anything special; nor that the sport is the cause, since people who are still active and agree to answer a questionnaire are already a selected group.
