https://matteocampagna.com/en/registry/equipment/shooting-clothing-weight-leg-muscles Changes to this claim in Matteo Campagna's evidence registry: its status, its year-by-year history, revisions of the page. en-gb https://matteocampagna.com/en/registry/equipment/shooting-clothing-weight-leg-musclesNo study of archers, and no study of a general population sample, has measured whether shooting clothing changes how the leg muscles work. The only paper on the subject had thirty young men aged 18 to 25 who were not archers, half blind and half sighted, shoot three arrows at ten metres without and with shooting clothing, recording eight leg muscles with electromyography while taking up the bow, during the draw and at the release. The effect of the clothing is calculated on the two groups together, and the blind half makes the sample unlike the people who usually shoot: the registry does not rest its claims on samples of this kind, so the study stays as context. Read that way, it says little even on its own terms: of seventy-two uncorrected tests only four fall below 0.05, and only one concerns the clothing, the vastus medialis at the release, while the authors infer that the clothing may help balance.claim:abbigliamento-tiro-muscoli-gambe:revision:2026-03-17:2Tue, 17 Mar 2026 08:00:00 GMT https://matteocampagna.com/en/registry/equipment/shooting-clothing-weight-leg-musclesclaim:abbigliamento-tiro-muscoli-gambe:new_claim:2026-03-06:non_studiatoFri, 06 Mar 2026 08:00:00 GMT
