Fifty turned up on the first day and thirty carried on with the course, so four in ten dropped away along the way; of the thirty who stayed, twenty-five reached the end with a complete shooting test. Why the other twenty stopped, and at which session, the paper does not say: the explanation about timing refers to the missed target of sixty and cannot safely be stretched to the drop from fifty to thirty.
